Week 1, Thursday
330 days until Ironman Arizona.
Medium-length easy ride today. Really felt last night’s weight-training session in my hamstrings and quadriceps, but still a pretty mellow ride, except the part where I flatted. I hate flats—or, more specifically, stopping to change flats—more than anything.

Week 1, Wednesday
331 Days until Ironman Arizona.
The pool where I train is still closed, so no swim workout today. Started the “Anatomical Adaptation” phase of weight training tonight, though[1]. I started with virtually no weight per the book’s instructions, but I have a feeling my triceps and my quads are going to be complaining for a few days.
Unrelated: forgot my swim shoes/flip-flops...

Long, easy, flat endurance “run.” Felt great, lots of energy at the finish.

I had a migraine, but went out for a really short brick anyway just so I could say I didn’t skip it. This was my first ride ever with my new cadence counter, and I noticed that trying to keep 90 rpm up hills made things a bit harder.
